Fund Raising

In November 2016, we got involved with the annual Children In Need fundraising campaign. Through a combination of cake sales, guessing the name of the bear (not Pudsey, but his brother!) and collection boxes we raised a total of £131.97. Well done and thank you to everyone involved.

In September, we ran a Big Coffee Morning for MacMillan Cancer Support.  Staff baked some delicious cakes and the event was very well supported by NHS colleagues. We added our staff ‘dress down Friday’ donations to the fund and in all raised an amazing £462.00! Well done to all the staff at the Hospital School.

Last term we fundraised for a local food bank in the city of Nottingham. Each week, we had ‘Dress Down Friday’ collections for the Sneinton and St Ann’s Food Bank; staff wore their casual clothes and made a minimum donation of £1 to the fund. So far, we have raised our first £200 and have sent the Food Bank a cheque; as a staff, we also decided to forgo our usual Christmas cards and gifts to each other and opted to bring in items to make up a food hamper to help young people and families who would otherwise struggle to find extra funds to buy treats at this festive time.

We continued supporting the food bank and collected and donated another huge hamper of food at Easter.
